Kaloko-Honokohau Historical Park is worth the short hike (approximately a mile). Click the Launch Navigation button to take you directly to parking. The park has a lot to offer like hiking, and snorkel, as well as a beautiful beach. If the surf is pounding you might consider bringing a boogie board. It's also worth noting there are many sea turtles here lounging around. Be sure to bring plenty of sunblock and water. It's relatively desolate because of the quarter mile hike required to get there. While the hike isn't too challenging it's worth bringing a decent pair of hiking shoes. Be weary of the lava rock on the beach. Tread with caution.
