Keauhou Bay is a small site that marks the birth of King Kamehameha the third in 1814 and the second son of Kamehameha the first and Keopuolani. Because all beaches in Hawaii are public according to state law you'll find the beach front resort offers parking and other amenities that make accessing the bay easy. You can snorkel here, but this beach is best reserved for sun bathing and swimming. As the waves and crowd make for poor snorkeling conditions close to the shore.
