Lehia is a quiet beach at the end of Kalanianaole Avenue in Hilo. The road passes many hidden gems that tourists seldom visit. The water is colder here but the entire coast is a rest stop for sea turtles. In the winter months Lehia is a great beach for whale watching. Although the drive in is rough and rocky especially if you're in a car. It's still possible to get a car to the back of the park, if you're careful and you drive slow.
