Mauna Kea Beach
All beaches in Hawaii are open to the public. So all beach front resorts must provide public utilities for locals. There are plenty of amenities here but please note it's a first come first serve basis. Snorkeling is allowed here, but it's not an ideal snorkel spot compared to some other fish filled reef spots. Bring plenty of sun block and be sure to get there early if you're going to make a day of it. While it's not as packed as Hapuna, it does fill up from tourists staying in the Mauna Kea hotel.
